Baby Boy's 3D Ultrasound

Let me start this off by saying I wish we would have done this with Morgan and Rylee.  We did it with Tenley and it's just so neat to watch they move around.  It's an added bonus that the siblings and other family members can come see too!  This time the girls, my mom and dad joined us.

We got to see some good shots of our little boy. He's definitely a mover and a shaker.  Much more so than any of the girls.  It was hard to tell who he looked like.  He has the same nose as the girls but I can't really tell much more other than that. Most importantly, he's still a boy.  I'm not sure when that is going to sink in.  Still in disbelief!

I won't lie. This one totally freaks me out with the eye open. Gah.

Neat little GIF! Looks like he's trying to eat the placenta!

IT'S A BOYYYYYYYYYYY!

I have no words. I'm still mostly in shock. Somehow we made a healthy baby boy. Holy shit.

Baby makes SIX!

Let me see if I can answer all the questions I get.

-Yes, we know how babies are made
-Yes, this baby was planned
-No, we are/were not trying to have a boy...we are/were trying to have a BABY.
-No, I have no idea whether we will have more after this or when either one of us will have some sort of permanent procedure.

When in doubt, a simple Congratulations will do. :)  Most of you are on top of that, for that I say Thank you! :)

9/17/11: Tenley's 3D U/S!

We went this morning with my mom and sister and Mackenzie to get some 3D ultrasound pics of Tenley.  I'd never had it done with either girl and always thought about it so I decided to finally do it this time.  We went to Babywaves in Independence and I would totally recommend it to anyone.  They were so nice and helpful and they had stuff for the kids to do while everything was going on.

Here are some of our favorite pics from the day.  She laid in a good position most of the time but would NOT put her elbow down no matter what we did. She was content to lay there and smile and sleep.  I have U/S pics of both Morgan and Rylee with their hands behind their head so it figures this one would be no different.  Fingers crossed this all means this one is an excellent sleeper too!

The tech kept saying what a happy baby she was in there.  I like that now but don't get any ideas kid.  My uterus may be ritzy but eviction date is on or before December 13.  Don't get too comfortable.

Paul and I both think she looks a little more like Rylee but that is probably because of the no hair deal right now.  We will find out who exactly she looks like in only a few more months!!

05/31/11: Then there were 5....

Merry Christmas to us!

That's right people, we are officially insane and have decided that children should outnumber the adults in this house. Baby Stoicoiu #3 is set to arrive sometime around Dec 13, 2011 and hopefully not a day later.  Knowing my kids I have no chance in hell this child will  be on time. We are just entering the 2nd trimester here soon and everything has been going well.  I'm totally going to jinx myself here but so far I've felt great with little to no morning sickness.  This was a huge relief after how bad I had it with Rylee. My only complain is being ridiculously tired on the regular but I'm like that whether I'm pregnant or not.  The two toddlers don't help much either.  We are going to be uber busy come this winter but I wouldn't have it any other way!

In other news, Rylee had her 1 year checkup today and weighs in at 21lbs 9oz and is 30 inches tall.  She's doing great and we should be getting her blood results back soon!

5/20/11: Baby Carson and the Grose family

Oh babies are in the air.  I feel like a new baby is born to one of my friends every day.  Today I finally got down to see little Carson.  Mandi and I met through our Moms board and have become pretty good friends over the last couple years.  Both of our oldest are only a few weeks apart so we went through our first pregnancy together. Only difference is Mandi is super lame and keeps her baby's gender a surprise for everyone including herself.  I think she could at least have the courtesy to tell me but she disagrees.  Trust me people, I really tried this time to get her to find out and tell me but she held strong.

Mandi and I have pretty similar L&D stories with both of our kids except for the fact that her 2nd was a boy. I think she was a little more shocked than I was even though I thought she was having a girl.  It took a while for baby boy Grose to be named and even though he has born on Cinco de Mayo they opted not to go for Jose and named him Carson.  He was pretty sleepy when I was there and again I don't wake sleeping children so I only got to gaze at him and his cute little face.  I'm sure there will be plenty of time for Auntie Kristy to squish his little cheeks.

Morgan and Avery also got some quality time in today even though the pictures of them say otherwise.  They weren't so into taking their picture together but did think a good pose would be to pull their pants/dresses up. I don't know...  Rylee spent her time crawling up and down the step into the playroom.  Good times.

Thanks for having us over Mandi!  You look great and Carson is super cute!

3/8/11: Hello, Baby Fever...

How cute is this little guy? There is nothing like holding a newborn to give you the fever. Baby fever, that is and I got a good dose of it on Tuesday.  Our very good friends Jimmy and Amanda had this little bundle of joy last Thursday 3/3 and since we were leaving for Columbus that day we didn't get a chance to see him until now.

I'd like you to meet Carter James Haddox. First of all he's so little I could just eat him.  My children pretty much come out looking like they are 3-4 months old.  Funny how soon you can forget though how little they are. I'm sure at some point after we left he did something that was equally as aggravating as he is cute and that's the only part I don't miss.  My children always seemed like angels for company...and then the company left.  Now (at least Morgan) has no preference whose company she is in, she does what she wants. :sigh:

My sister joined us for this visit too seeing as she only lives a couple houses away from J and A.  Good thing too because she was useful.  I have girls so I don't have to do the whole be careful when you're changing their diaper they might pee on you thing.  I got a good idea of how often it happens though on Tuesday.  At one point Amanda was standing a good ways away from him and he still got her entire pant leg wet.  She wasn't even the one changing him..haha.  That's where Kelly comes in - she saw it coming and gave Amanda the heads up, just a little late though.  It made for a good laugh though.  The kid has range.

I mean we do look pretty good at it. It looks like Paul is ready for another one, no? ;)

Amanda and Jimmy have been great friends over the years to us and we are so happy for them. We wish them all the best on their new adventure and we hope we are there for (most) every step of the way!!
Congrats guys!!
