Easter Egg Hunt: Take One

All three kids were sick this week and it totally threw me off.  I came home on Tuesday to take all three of them to the doctor.  Yes all three, thank goodness it was a day my mom was watching them and she could go along with me.  We hit the trifecta and left there with 3 infected ears, yeast infection, 2 cases of bronchiolitis, a UTI, and a lot of wheezing. I stayed home with them on Wednesday and never really seemed to get back on track.  Between the couple of late nights home from work (I ran the monthly board meeting on Monday, go me!) and the sick that was my house,  I was ready for the weekend.

I was hoping since we had such nice weather last week that some of it would stick around for the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt.  I was wrong and it was cold.  Good thing we don't have to go far and it's right in our cul-de-sac!   These pictures below are all pre-hunt.

What do you mean I don't get no stinkin eggs!?!

I became highly aware of the need for Easter Egg camp after they started.  They were just not in top form for this hunt.  Luckily they get to spend a day with Grandpa Ralph this week at his infamous Easter Egg training camp before we tackle Round Two next weekend.  We just can't have another showing like this one.

Afterwards it seemed appropriate since I had the camera out to do a little family session.

I'm impressed that I took this one myself. That's no easy feat!

I also took this one myself, haha.  Not the best but it turned out to be one of my favorites.

When I looked back at this picture, it hit me just how much estrogen is in this house. It's not that I didn't realize it before, it's just that they are all getting so big.

I got Rylee to take the food out of her mouth for about 5 seconds for this one.

Again, they pose so much better without the 22 month old.

Daddy's girls. :)

9/14/11: Rylee's 15 Month Well Visit

Rylee's well visit was actually the same day as Morgan's first day of Preschool.  Since I knew I would be waiting a day to blog about it, you actually get two days of pictures.  The first set is actually from the day of her appt. We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa at the school while they were taking some pictures. Rylee and Morgan got to sneak in at the end and have some photo opps.

These are actually from today.  My little toddler who is no longer a baby in any way.  It's amazing how much she's changed and grown in just the past few months. She loves to say cheese, hi, mom, and dad.   She weighed in at 21lbs 14oz and was 32 inches and a few hairs tall.  She weighs a couple pounds less than Morgan did at her age but is the exact same height.  Soon enough I will be the shortest one in this family.  She had to get 3 shots today and was a champ until she burst into tears at the very last one.  It was probably her flu shot and I don't blame her because sometimes those suckers burn.

She is such a good natured, goofy, ornery child that loves to play, fight, and annoy her big sister.  Soon enough she will find out what that is like on the other end.  Most of the time she is cracking us up or dancing around. The girls loves to dance and shakes it anytime she hears some tunes. She's starting to get some hair in the back now and I'm hoping the top and front will soon follow!

Happy 15 months to our little girl!!!

4/22/11: The Middle

I'm calling this the middle because the end better involve Morgan feeling better.  I rarely if ever have to take Morgan to the doctor. I honestly can't even remember the last time she was there for something other than a well visit.  Unfortunately we had to make a trip today and I knew it last night.  I apparently passed on some dominant trait/gene where any kind of illness attacks the eyes. For instance I had mono pretty bad as a teenager and it took a long time for anyone to figure out what I had. Why, you ask? Well, instead of getting an incredibly sore throat like regular people (mine didn't hurt at all) my eyes almost swelled shut. Nice, huh?  Somehow Morgan has picked up the same thing.  Last time she had her one and only ear infection (like 2 years ago) her eyes had horrible drainage and got super puffy and red.  Last night I noticed the drainage from her nose had turned green. Warning sign #1.  Warning sign #2 happened when her eyes started to get all goopy.  I was fairly certain she had an ear infection because the day before last she was complaining that her ear hurt.

Morgan was not a happy camper about going to the doctor.  She wouldn't get weighed, she wouldn't let the doctor look at her throat or mouth.  Another clue I knew she did not feel good because she is usually a little chatter box wanting to do everything. As soon as the doctor looked in her ears she told me they were infected. Both of them and pretty bad.  So we got an RX for amoxicillin (trying to give it to  her is a whole other story..) and headed on our way.  We head back to check up on her ears in 2 weeks since there was a lot of fluid built up.  She's so sad to look at right now. My poor little baby. :(
