Morgan is 5!

Our first "baby" is FIVE years old. She's going to Kindergarten this year.  She plays soccer and gymnastics and T-ball. How and when did all of this happen?  I can look at the other two and still see their faces as babies.  I can't do that with Morgan anymore.  All I can see is this big girl who has her own opinions, a kind heart and a lot of sass.  She is your typical oldest child in every sense of those words.

We were still on vacation for her actual birthday so we spent the day down at Broadway at the Beach.  We went to Ripley's Aquarium in the morning and checked out all the fish and sharks and turtles, etc.  Morgan and Rylee even got their picture taken with a real live mermaid!  After that we walked around the boardwalk for a little bit until we stopped somewhere for lunch.  It was extremely hot that day so after lunch we headed back to the house for some pool time.  The birthday girl ended the day with her friends and some yummy ice cream cake!

Shortly after her birthday she had her 5 year well check which included some Kindergarten shots.  She was nervous about them for a while before but she was a trooper!  She clocks in at a bit over 46 inches and about 47 lbs.  According to our ped she is the size of a Second grader!  We can't wait to see with this next year of new beginnings brings for her!  We love you Mo!  Happy Birthday

Vacation: Myrtle Beach Edition

I won't bore you with all the details of our trip and I will try to sum it up as quickly as possible. We headed for a week in Myrtle Beach with our friends and their kids. Total of adults = 8.  Total of children = 8, ages 5 and under.  The kids were pretty darn good in the car both there and back. They had their moments but overall I would say they did well.  Did I mention there were 8 kids? That is a lot and doesn't exactly make for the most relaxing vacation.  Fortunately Paul and I had prepared ourselves for that before we got there.  The good thing is is that the kids had a total blast together. They loved the beach and the pool and staying in one big house together.  Watching them have so much fun together made it all worth it!
