Rylee's Trip to Pizza Hut

Rylee had her field trip to Pizza Hut and unfortunately I was out for the count with strep throat.  Thankfully Paul stepped in for me and was able to take her. I've been on this trip before a few times with Morgan so I pretty much know how it goes.  The kids get to go in the back and get a tour and before the tour is over they let them each make their own personal pan pizza.  They get to pick all their own toppings and everything! Once their pizza is done cooking they get to eat their creation.  I'm pretty sure Rylee had a great time, especially because Daddy doesn't normally go on these field trips because my work is a little more flexible. Today we had no choice because there was no way I could even get out of bed.  She danced around with her little friends and had the biggest smile on her face.  She has come such a long way since the little girl that didn't want to get out of the car on the first day of preschool!

100th Day of School!

I'm not sure when the 100th Day of School was originally supposed to be, but it most certainly did not take place that day due to all the snow.  They had been counting down all year in Morgan's class and we got a note at home that she was supposed to dress as a 100 year old lady to celebrate.  Morgan was less than thrilled.  She did not want anything to do with dressing like an old lady.  I'm not really sure why. I don't know if she thought she would be the only one or that she would look silly or what, regardless she didn't want to do it.

Lucky for Morgan, her grandmother (my mother) is a hoarder and still has things like the glasses my sister wore in 3rd grade. She brought over all sorts of stuff the day before for Morgan to wear. The morning finally came and let's just say Morgan didn't really change her mind.  We had a rough morning getting ready and I won't lie there were some tears shed. I'll let you decide for yourself whose tears they were. ;)  I think she looked super cute!

Valentine's Day Festivities

Okay so there weren't actually a ton of festivities. Due to all the snow days Morgan didn't have a party at school, so Rylee was the only one. I got to go spend the day with her for the first time in what seems like forever!  She had a couple things over the past few months that I had to skip because I just started back to work.  Anywho, we had a great time doing the usual party stuff!  Rylee was super excited to hand out the Valentine's she signed all by herself!

The next day was actual Valentine's Day.  We don't really go crazy around here but I usually get the girls some candy and a book or something small. This year they got the candy of course, a book and Frozen (the movie) wands.  I had to take two of those damn wands back because the batteries exploded in one and the other one didn't work.  Three girls fighting over one Disney princess wand, yah, that was fabulous. Thank goodness there was lots of candy to be had! I know there are no pictures of the boy but rest assured he did not have candy, but he did get new some new clothes (which he was going to get anyways. :) ).
 Happy Valentine's Day!

Beckett Graham: Three Months

Our little boy is 3 months old! Sometimes I feel like a broken record with my kids but I did really hit the baby lottery each time.  My kids as babies have all been extremely laid back.  I can't necessarily take any credit for it either, it just happens and I'm extremely thankful because this momma needs her sleep!  Beckett is no different from his sisters and is generally a super happy baby.  He's learned to roll over and loves to laugh and giggle.  He also loves to stick his tongue out and will do it on command.  If you stick your tongue out at him, he will do it back.  It's hilarious.  Everyone loves him to pieces, especially Tenley. She loves him a little too much at times. Once again we are lucky he is so good natured.

Carlospalooza Take Two!

Every year we head out to pretend like we are still in college and celebrate some birthdays.  This year was no different. What becomes more clear to me each year is that when I have an overnight babysitter, I should really just sit at home and watch trash tv and sleep. :)

We started out going to dinner at Hibachi in the Falls. Below was my fortune.  I'm not sure what that means and if it's a bad or good omen. I mean, does it mean my year will be cut short? I certainly hope not!

After dinner we headed to downtown Kent. I totally have to make a huge plug for downtown Kent because it has been totally overhauled and is just awesome. It's beautiful and there is tons to do and a bunch of new great places all over the place.  We spent most of the night at Bar 145 which not only has great food, but on this particular night they had a rocking band.  When the band covers Nsync's Bye Bye Bye, you've got me hooked. That's all I need.

It's always tons of fun to hang with them fam! This time was no exception!
