Easter 2013

Easter was early this year which I am not a fan of.  The weather is still crummy and it seems like all of a sudden BOOM! it's Easter.  Next year I'm pretty sure it's in late April and I will complain about that too.

I got the girls baskets all ready to go and they had a fun time looking for their baskets and the eggs they had decorated.

Later that afternoon we went to have lunch/dinner at my mom's house.  

This was the best picture I could manage of the three of them that day.

Easter Egg Decorating

After our morning of Easter Egg hunting, what else is there to do besides color Easter eggs? 

This year Tenley was semi-old enough to join in on the fun.  Okay, so maybe she spent half the time trying to eat the eggs, at least she had fun!

Easter Egg Hunt

Other than our little neighborhood hunt, the girls had never been to an actual big Easter Egg Hunt.  We took them into Ravenna (the one I always used to go to!) since the weather was actually decent for the end of March.  I knew Morgan would be fine, but I wasn't sure how aggressive Rylee would be in such a large group of kids.  They both actually did quite well, even though Morgan started out only picking up the pink eggs.  One of them even won one of the big prizes!

As you can tell my kids are HUGE fans of the Easter Bunny. 

Rylee's 1st trip to the Dentist!

Rylee took her first trip to the Dentist. I'll admit I was nervous taking her.  I wasn't sure how she would handle it.  She always tends to be a little leery of new situations. She is definitely my "observer". She likes to take it all in before jumping into something.  I knew we wouldn't have that luxury at the Dentist.

She was excited on the way there and even while we were waiting.

When she got in the chair, I could tell the wheels in her head were turning. I tried to take her picture before they got her ready but she would NOT take her eyes of the dental hygienist. It was actually quite comical. 

She ended up only having one moment when they starting moving the chair backwards to lay her down.  She looked over at me with her eyes wide and starting shaking her head no.  I went over and held her hand when they started and she was fine.  She ended up doing a great job!

Tenley's 1st Haircut

Tenley finally got her first haircut back in March.  It was long overdue. She wasn't quite sure about the whole process...

...as you can see, that didn't change much by the end.

State Wrestling Tournament

Every year we pack up our brood and head to Columbus for the State Wrestling tournament.  My mother would prefer I leave my children at home since she had a strict "you must be ten years old" rule when we were kids. I will admit it would be much easier without them but they do enjoy it and it's nice to have a little getaway towards the end of winter.

The girls have a couple of favorite things to do while at the tournament.

1. Visit the many statues of Brutus/Ohio State memorabilia 

2. Dippin Dots/Candy (Although I don't have any pictures of the actual treats)

3. Swimming in the hotel pool.
