Christmas 2013

Let me start off by saying that the week leading up to Christmas was less than pleasant in our house. Morgan woke up one week before, throwing up. Two days later, Tenley did the same thing. By Monday (the 23rd) Rylee and Paul were puking and Beckett and I became the lone survivors. Christmas Eve I started feeling off.  It didn't seem like a stomach bug type of nauseous but more of a morning sickness kind of nauseous.  Since the latter was not possible, I just brushed it off. Except it didn't go away and we ended up leaving my uncle's house early because I just felt on the verge of throwing up.  Sure enough I walked in the door at 10:30 and went straight to the toilet.  It's unfortunate for Santa that Mrs. Claus went down on the biggest night of the year.  Lucky for him, Mrs. C is organized.  He did a pretty good job. I was impressed. I woke up Christmas day not feeling my best but much better than the day before.  The show must go on!

The girls were all so into Christmas this year which made it that much more fun. We didn't get a ton of pictures other than the morning since I was not up to par but I think we captured the important stuff.  Most importantly Greg. In my Mom's sweater. With a moose mug.

Merry Christmas! The shitter was full!

Pre-Christmas Festivities

The month leading up to Christmas was super busy. We had multiple visits with Santa, snowstorms, birthdays, school parties and cookie making among many other things.

The beginning/middle of the month there was quite a bit of snow and the girls took advantage. This was Tenley's first real time playing in the snow and she seemed to enjoy it.  By enjoy, I mean she liked eating snow.

Next up we had Rylee's Christmas party at school.  I was able to go with her, which was nice.  I was sad that I had to miss Morgan's party.  Rylee wouldn't get real close to Santa, but she did get closer than I thought she would.

That Saturday, Santa visited us on the firetruck.  I love that our local Fire Department does this for the kids.  They were so super excited when they saw the firetruck!

The day after that we headed to the mall (FINALLY!) to see Santa. I was a bit nervous how the middle two would react but it went much better than expected. Tenley stood right by big tub of candy canes and wouldn't take her eyes off them to look at the camera until we gave her one.

That afternoon we came home to do some baking!

Tenley didn't so much bake as she did eat all of the sprinkles.

Fun times in the Stoicoiu household!

Tenley turns TWO!

Oh, Tenley. You are two. TWO! I do love this age.  You are equal parts hilarious, curious and infuriating.  Even when you are infuriating, I find you utterly hysterical. You have quite an expansive vocabulary for a two year old and a certain knack for comedic timing. You are LOUD. Extremely and incredibly LOUD. You are ornery and silly.  You are our little baby girl and have become a SUPER big sister.

Tenley turned two in early December and we had her birthday party the following weekend.  Tenley loves all things Yo Gabba Gabba so that is the theme we went with.  You should have seen her face when she woke up from her nap and saw the house all decorated. It was so cute.  It happened to be a blizzard the day of her party so it ended up being just family but that was okay with me.  It was a little more relaxing that way.

Tenley has no problem being the center of attention, as you can see.
