Baby Boy's 3D Ultrasound

Let me start this off by saying I wish we would have done this with Morgan and Rylee.  We did it with Tenley and it's just so neat to watch they move around.  It's an added bonus that the siblings and other family members can come see too!  This time the girls, my mom and dad joined us.

We got to see some good shots of our little boy. He's definitely a mover and a shaker.  Much more so than any of the girls.  It was hard to tell who he looked like.  He has the same nose as the girls but I can't really tell much more other than that. Most importantly, he's still a boy.  I'm not sure when that is going to sink in.  Still in disbelief!

I won't lie. This one totally freaks me out with the eye open. Gah.

Neat little GIF! Looks like he's trying to eat the placenta!

The one where Morgan plays Soccer

Since Morgan started Kindergarten in September we thought it would be good for her to be involved in something locally with other kids that she would be going to school with.  I played soccer as a young kid and while I wasn't very good, I'm sure that I had fun.

Having only played soccer for a few weeks in her life, she had a lot to learn.  It was so funny to watch the kids the first game.  You know how you tell kids for basically all their life that they should share, take turns and not take things away from other kids?  Try explaining to them now that it is okay to do all those things, only when playing soccer.  It took a game or two to get over that whole idea (at least for Morgan).  She even scored quite a few goals this season!  Most of all I think she had so fun and made some new friends before school started!

Randolph Fair 2013

Every year we hit the Randolph Fair.  We usually do one day (at least) as a family, where the kids can ride the rides, look at the animals and eat yummy food!  As tradition dictates, the girls always go to the Demolition Derby with Paul.  We managed to fit it all in again this year and I managed to eat my weight in fries, fudge and porktatoes.  Being pregnant does have its upsides.

The girls with our neighbor Alexis's horse.

If you've never had the porktato, well you just haven't lived life.  Imagine a baked potato, cheese, bacon, butter and sour cream, all loaded with pulled pork. Yum.  Now I want one and so do you. You're welcome.

Safety Town

Morgan spent the last week of July at Safety Town. The Brimfield Police and Fire Department put the whole thing on for kids going into Kindergarten.  I can still remember going to Safety Town when I was a kid.  I had so much fun.  Morgan was super excited to go and the week did not disappoint her.  I had to hear every day about being safe riding her bike, not talking to strangers, how to ride the bus, etc.

On Friday, they do a little ceremony and parents are able to attend and take pictures and hear about what they learned during the week.  Each group sang a little song, got certificates and a bike helmet.  Afterwards they had cookies and drinks with their groups.

Many of you know that the Chief of Police in Brimifeld has quite the following due to his Facebook page.  I kept moving into the aisle to take pictures of Morgan when she was up front.  Paul was unable to go so I had both Rylee and Tenley with me.  In order to keep Rylee busy, I gave her my phone.  She LOVES to take pictures.  She kept coming in the aisle with me to take pictures when I did.  Pretty soon, she was in the aisle taking pictures by herself.  When the Chief was making his closing remarks, Rylee decided she needed to snap a photo.  She went out into the aisle and kept walking toward the front, until he noticed her.  He stopped with what he was saying and asked her if she would like him to pose. Which he then did for her as seen below. Not bad for a 3 year old. :)
