The Great Powder Debacle

Most nights we have to spend a little bit of time getting the older two to bed.  They not only share a room, but a bed as well.  They tend to get into arguments on who gets what book, toy, and/or side of the bed.  On this particular night we went through the usual routine and then it became quiet.  Like most nights we assumed they had passed out.  That was until I heard a little knock on the door.  It was Morgan.  "Mommy, Rylee's getting into the powder."  I knew it couldn't be good, I knew it was bad when Paul yelled "Oh my God!", but I still really wasn't prepared for the mess.

This kid dumped out an entire huge bottle of powder everywhere. On herself, all of the bed, the floor, stuffed animals, the toys, etc.  You name it and it had powder on it.

No, their sheets are not that white, that is mass amounts of powder.  When you walked into their room it was a like a cloud of powder-smoke.

Even her hair was literally white.

Why stop now?

The face of a VERY ornery almost 2 year old.

No, she did not in fact spill powder by the door, that is how much was coming off her as she walked around. She looked like Pigpen from Charlie Brown.

Oh Rylee, you always manage to keep us on our toes!

Mackenzie is 3!

I can't believe that Mackenzie is actually 3. It really feels like yesterday that she was born.  So weird that she will be in preschool this fall already.  Today we attended her Minnie Mouse birthday party and the kids had a ball!  Kelly did a great job decorating and planning!

My mom's surprised face.

Some of the decorations made by Aunt Kelly herself!

Aunt Kiki and the birthday girl!

Little T's first birthday party, life is good.

Ready to blow out her candles!

We can't go anywhere without Carlos...

Kelly and Greg had her party at the Tallmadge Lions Club which also had a playground, swings, and basketball court.  The kids (and adults) loved it.

This kid loved swinging.

This was so much fun Mom!

Mackenzie got a ton a goodies and I'm pretty sure had an awesome birthday party.  Happy 3rd Birthday to our favoritest niece, (and the girls BFF!)  Miss Mackenzie Jade!

Easter Egg Hunt: Take One

All three kids were sick this week and it totally threw me off.  I came home on Tuesday to take all three of them to the doctor.  Yes all three, thank goodness it was a day my mom was watching them and she could go along with me.  We hit the trifecta and left there with 3 infected ears, yeast infection, 2 cases of bronchiolitis, a UTI, and a lot of wheezing. I stayed home with them on Wednesday and never really seemed to get back on track.  Between the couple of late nights home from work (I ran the monthly board meeting on Monday, go me!) and the sick that was my house,  I was ready for the weekend.

I was hoping since we had such nice weather last week that some of it would stick around for the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt.  I was wrong and it was cold.  Good thing we don't have to go far and it's right in our cul-de-sac!   These pictures below are all pre-hunt.

What do you mean I don't get no stinkin eggs!?!

I became highly aware of the need for Easter Egg camp after they started.  They were just not in top form for this hunt.  Luckily they get to spend a day with Grandpa Ralph this week at his infamous Easter Egg training camp before we tackle Round Two next weekend.  We just can't have another showing like this one.

Afterwards it seemed appropriate since I had the camera out to do a little family session.

I'm impressed that I took this one myself. That's no easy feat!

I also took this one myself, haha.  Not the best but it turned out to be one of my favorites.

When I looked back at this picture, it hit me just how much estrogen is in this house. It's not that I didn't realize it before, it's just that they are all getting so big.

I got Rylee to take the food out of her mouth for about 5 seconds for this one.

Again, they pose so much better without the 22 month old.

Daddy's girls. :)

Me and the mini!

Reverse Raffle

Every year a combination of the adults in my family attend the Reverse Raffle put on by the Southeast Athletic Boosters.  This year they were lucky enough to have all 8 of us! I will say Paul and I have been pretty lucky there in the past.  Paul has made it a shared a part of the grand prize once, we won on a sideboard, and I won club seats to an Indians game once.  This year we were really going all out. We all chipped in and bought some extra raffle tickets, played the sideboards, chinese raffle, etc.  You name it, I had my money in it.

We enjoyed our time during the raffle not only drinking but I'm assuming growing louder by the minute. A few of us were kicked out almost right away.  As the numbers dwindled down, Paul was still in it. Lucky for Kelly and Greg because they had his same number on one of the side boards. We got down to the final ten. Once it's down to the final 5, they have the option to split which happens more often than not.  Well you aren't going to believe it, because I sure couldn't...Paul was called 6th.  That's right, one away from $500. As a consolation prize he got a T-Shirt. He was not happy.  Neither were Kelly or Greg.

Guess there isn't much to do after that except play some blackjack, drink, and hit the dance floor!  Things kind of went downhill at that point, but I think we all saw that coming...

No one but Kelly or Ashley was aware this picture was being taken.

Blackjack was shut down at this point, I believe so the only thing left to do is shake your groove thang! (Apparently with your mom and MIL)

Don't let my mom fool you, she loved every second of this!

This just doesn't seem as Saved by the Bell-ish as it should.  I'm disappointed.

When Greg has to drag Kelly around and is flashing gang signs, it can't be good.

Kelly just might have gotten done Jersey turnpiking, because I think I see a fistpump there Greg!

I caught Ashley doing some sort of line dancing...

She then caught me taking her picture.

Always a good time. I guess you really can't take those Grahams anywhere!
