Today we gave Tenley her first bath and of course it had to be a family event. Morgan and Rylee had to be front and center. Tenley was not a huge fan since I assume she felt pretty cold. The good news is her hair is all still in tact!

12/22/11: An early present
These pictures have nothing to do with my early present except that I USED my new present to take them. I've been asking for years but I finally got a DSLR. A Canon Rebel T3 to be exact. I even got a free hour lesson from Ralphphotos thrown in. The girls and I plus my sister and Mackenzie went to visit Paul at work and then headed to my grandparents house to see them for Christmas. Unfortunately my Grandpa wasn't there when we got there as he was admitted to the hospital. Saying prayers that he is on the mend soon. We all visited with my Grandma and then my parents busted out my gift. I'm super excited but I have so much to learn. Anyone up for giving me lessons? My hour session with Ralphphotos is almost up! ;)

12/20/11: Pajama Party
Today was Morgan's pajama party at preschool. Mommy went along to the party too. Everyone got to wear their pajamas, bring a pillow and a blanket and of course Morgan brought Ducky. They each got set up on the floor with a juice box and popcorn and the party began. I think after the 3rd movie or so (short ones) they started to get a little restless because there was a lot more jumping around than during the first movie. I'm pretty sure Morgan and her friends had a great time! She is officially on Christmas Break!
12/19/11: Home Alone
Today was our first day without Paul. Fortunately for me my mom was nice enough to take Morgan overnight last night since she had Mackenzie already. Not sure if Rylee enjoys when Morgan is gone and gets the bed to herself or if she is sad/bored. Needless to say she falls asleep a hell of a lot faster.
I think our day went pretty well. Tenley sleeps most of the time and Rylee is still pretty easily entertained. The quantity of children I have is not my problem. The problem is which combination of children I have because really it's when Morgan and Rylee get together at times that I want to lose my shit. We will see what the coming days bring. Good thing we have some things planned.
12/18/11: Cookies and Birthday Celebration
This morning the girls made Christmas cookies with Daddy while I took care of Tenley. I think they had more fun eating sprinkles and making a mess than actually making cookies but they still tasted delicious!
Later that night we celebrated my Dad's birthday (which was yesterday actually) at our house with some pizza and pie. Now that he's getting old he has to take lots of naps. Happy Birthday Dad!!

12/17/11: Gymnastics Observation and a visit from Santa
Today was observation day at Morgan's gymnastics class. Usually parents aren't allowed in during class but this was a special day. Since it was such a special day Grandma Kathy gave Morgan an early Christmas gift, a leotard! Or as Morgan likes to refer to it, her leotard-er. It was interesting to watch although she kind of lost focus towards the end of class. She says her favorite thing is the bars and actually she did pretty well on them. She is a huge fan of gymnastics.
After gymnastics Santa made a visit to our house on his fire truck and brought each of the girls a present. I was unsure how Morgan would handle it after the mall meltdown but she acted like her and Santa were old pals! If you're wondering, no she never wants to take the leotard off.
12/16/11: Visit from Aunt Kelly and Mackenzie
Aunt Kelly and Mackenzie stopped over tonight to drop off some dinner and stayed to play a while. Kelly clearly needs multiple children because you can see what she tries to attempt with mine. It's always some sort of acrobatics. They also always end up getting into stuff in Morgan and Rylee's room, hence Morgan's lovely outfit she dressed herself in. Never a dull moment!

12/15/11: Preschool Christmas Party
Today was Morgan's preschool Christmas party. Since I am one of the moms in charge of the party all five of us made the trip to school with Morgan. Morgan was very excited to show off her new sister and Rylee was excited to join in all the fun. First the kids got to decorate cookies for their snack. As you can tell Morgan and Rylee didn't so much decorate as eat the icing straight from the plate.
After that they did the reindeer craft. Morgan got Daddy's help on that one since Mommy was with the Rylee and Tenley. They had a little gift exchange which was super cute and Morgan was so pumped that she got a little Disney princess art set. Finally to top off the morning, Santa made an appearance and gave each of the kids a book. Everyone had a great time!
