7/8/11: Plain and Simple

I'm going to wring Paul's neck.

So I started my day meeting up with a friend to drop some stuff off for the fundraiser we're putting on next weekend.  We met at Panera and I had the girls with me of course so I decided to take them out to lunch. By myself. Shockingly they were perfectly behaved and we had a great lunch!

My next stop was to the courthouse.  Paul had intended earlier this week (like twice) to get up early and head to the courthouse to get a copy of our marriage certificate.  He needed to send it in to prove we were actually married for insurance purposes. I finally told him I would just go do it for him being the nice wifey that I am.

He's lucky this paper said we are actually married, because if it didn't? We wouldn't be fixing the mistake after today. Long story short, I dragged my two kids out to the courthouse to get a copy of this certificate during their nap times since I had other errands to run that day. Later that evening I noticed Paul had ripped apart our souvenir marriage license looking for this stuff earlier.  Of course, he hadn't put it back so I went to find the folder it belonged in, in our filing cabinet.  As I was looking through the folder you'll just never guess what I found sitting right there plain as day.  Hmmmmm.  Oh yah!  It was a copy of our marriage certificate that we already had back from 2006.  Paul clearly did a great job of searching for this before he sent me to the damn courthouse!  Ergghhhhh!

If you want something done right (and in Paul's case most of the time) AND on time, you really have to do it yourself.  Let's be honest, when I take care of things, it's ALWAYS right. :)
