Baptism

This has been one of those things that has just gotten away from me over the years.  Paul and I don't regularly attend church and I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first.  I want the girls to have their own religious freedoms and do what they feel comfortable with.  I went back on forth on whether to let them choose if they would be Baptized/Christened or not and finally we decided it was important enough to us to have it done while they were children.  If they grow up and have different beliefs and choose a different path, We're totally okay with that. Mackenzie hadn't been baptized yet either so we decided instead of holding four different "ceremonies" we would do it all at once for everyone involved.  It was such a nice day for our family and I'm glad we came to this decision.

4/14/11: Grandma and Grandpa's House

I've been trying to find a time to take the girls over to my parents for a while now but believe it or not the retirees lead a busy life.  Today they were actually at home and didn't have plans except for my dad's jaunt to Kale Creek that afternoon or the Country Club as he likes to refer to it as.  I brought the girls over around lunch time and we had a grand ole time.  The girls played with blocks and threw the ball.  Rylee mostly tried to escape the living room as she has learned how to climb the steps now.  I actually got to take a nap :shock: while I was there. Later that afternoon Grandpa Ralph taught Morgan how to shoot the nerf gun at Grandma while Rylee continued to get in to things she isn't supposed.  All in all a great day at the Grandparents!

On a side note today was Aunt Calli's 22nd birthday!  Happy Birthday Calli!

4/9/11 - Sister Chicken

Today we had visitors from Mindy and Calli.  Neither one of them had been down for a long time, so they both came to visit and see the girls.  Mindy and Calli got to experience the bounce house for the first time with Morgan, who wouldn't let them leave without bouncing.  We also spent a little time outside while I cooked dinner.

I also decided to make some chicken burgers on the grill, which you can see pictured below, since the girls were down visiting.  Mindy picked up some salad and Macaroni salad to go with it.  The chicken burgers aren't just any burgers.  It's ground chicken (yes ppl, they make ground chicken!!!) and you mix it with some spices and celery.  I call them Southwest Chicken Burgers.  It is mostly my own recipe, as I kind of throw different things into each time I make it to add to the flavor.

Rylee was so excited about it she dumped dinner on her head!
