Rylee's Trip to Pizza Hut

Rylee had her field trip to Pizza Hut and unfortunately I was out for the count with strep throat.  Thankfully Paul stepped in for me and was able to take her. I've been on this trip before a few times with Morgan so I pretty much know how it goes.  The kids get to go in the back and get a tour and before the tour is over they let them each make their own personal pan pizza.  They get to pick all their own toppings and everything! Once their pizza is done cooking they get to eat their creation.  I'm pretty sure Rylee had a great time, especially because Daddy doesn't normally go on these field trips because my work is a little more flexible. Today we had no choice because there was no way I could even get out of bed.  She danced around with her little friends and had the biggest smile on her face.  She has come such a long way since the little girl that didn't want to get out of the car on the first day of preschool!

Rylee's Trip to the Fire Station

We got home from the hospital late Saturday night, which was nice because then we all got to be together Sunday without all the rush of school, gymnastics, etc.  Monday Morgan went back to school and Tuesday Rylee had a field trip at the Rootstown Fire Station.  I had to take Beckett to the pediatrician for a check up so Paul took both Rylee and Tenley on the field trip.

I've been on this field trip a few times so I know how it goes.  The kids got to take a tour of the fire department and at then at the end they let them get in a fire truck and try on a fireman's hat and coat.  From what I hear they both had a great time even if Rylee was acting a little shy and wouldn't get her picture taken in the fire truck.  As you can see Tenley doesn't have a shy bone in her body.  She got her picture in the truck and after the class had their picture taken, she wanted hers taken too.  Another successful trip to the Fire Station!

Rufener's Farm Field Trip

Rylee had her first field trip of the year at Rufener's Farm in Suffield.  Since both preschool classes go together, my parents and Mackenzie were there too.  We've been on this field trip a time or two already over the years but this is the first time Rylee attended as an actual preschooler.  It was exceptionally hot that day which was a bit much for this 35 week pregnant lady.

We started the day off by playing on the slide, feeding the animals and riding the train.  After that we got to take our ride down to the pumpkin patch.  We made a pit stop first at the corn maze and the kids got to go through it.  After that we loaded back up and headed out to pick our pumpkins.  We found three good looking pumpkins and headed back.  I could have gone for some cooler weather but all in all we had a great day!

Wagon Trails Field Trip

We took our annual trip to Wagon Trails with Morgan's preschool class.  This year my parents both went with us, as did the Richmond family.  Much of the same was repeated from last year, number one being that Rylee hates animals.  Still not a fan of the whole wagon trip and feeding the animals.  She would prefer to just look on from afar.  Morgan on the other hand, was definitely more outgoing in feeding the animals this year.  Tenley wanted to stick her hands in all the cages and basically run a muck. 

It's a little bit of a drive to the east in Vienna, Ohio, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone with kids or even without kids!

Pizza Hut Field Trip

At the end of February Morgan's preschool class took a field trip to Pizza Hut. The kids get to take a tour of the kitchen and make their own pizza!

Field Trip: Rufener Farms

The Monday after the Spaghetti Dinner, Morgan and Mackenzie's class' had a combined field trip to Rufener Farms in Suffield. Greg was supposed to accompany me with Mackenzie but he caught whatever Paul and I (and what seems like everyone else) had the previous week.  So I ended up taking all three girls and leaving Tenley with my mom.  

We lucked out and got a nice day especially considering what most of October ended up being, weather-wise.  I was really enjoying this year since last year I was incredibly pregnant, it was hot and the girls picked out the two biggest pumpkins for me to lug around.  This year, I had three self-sufficient (for the most part) girls and no baby belly.

We started out on the tractor ride and headed back to the corn maze first.  They actually have a HUGE corn maze in the shape of the United States but we only went through the mini-one for sake of time.  I think it would take hours to go through the large one.

After that we headed over to where the pumpkins were so each of the girls could pick one out.  This year they were a little easier on me and picked smaller ones.

After we got back to the front the girls got to play on the slide and ride "the train".
