100th Day of School!

I'm not sure when the 100th Day of School was originally supposed to be, but it most certainly did not take place that day due to all the snow.  They had been counting down all year in Morgan's class and we got a note at home that she was supposed to dress as a 100 year old lady to celebrate.  Morgan was less than thrilled.  She did not want anything to do with dressing like an old lady.  I'm not really sure why. I don't know if she thought she would be the only one or that she would look silly or what, regardless she didn't want to do it.

Lucky for Morgan, her grandmother (my mother) is a hoarder and still has things like the glasses my sister wore in 3rd grade. She brought over all sorts of stuff the day before for Morgan to wear. The morning finally came and let's just say Morgan didn't really change her mind.  We had a rough morning getting ready and I won't lie there were some tears shed. I'll let you decide for yourself whose tears they were. ;)  I think she looked super cute!

Wow -- I'm incredibly behind/Grandma's Birthday

I think saying I'm behind is quite the understatement.  I'm going to post this in January when it actually happened but I think we all know it's July.  JULY.  Life/work has been incredibly busy in 2013 but we still have plenty of things to share!!!  I'm attempting to catch up over the next few weeks and get back on track. Plus my faithful readers Ashley and Mindy have complained..lol

I'm ashamed to even admit this but I took like 10 pictures the entire month of January 2013. I normally take hundreds of pictures each month.  I figure it's the only way I'll actually remember anything we did.  Needless to say, other than relying ye ole trust Google Calendar, I have no idea what we did most of January.  I'm going to assume it was cold and we were recovering from the holiday craziness.

One thing I know for sure happened in January was that my wonderful mother turned 60!  Can you believe it? Most people don't, but I swear I tell the truth.  I say she doesn't look a day over 58. :)  Another thing I remember clearly is that my parents went to Punta Cana for a week in January.  I had to suffer in the cold while they drank pina coladas.  They came back right before my mom's birthday so sometime that weekend we all headed to visit.

The pictures above were all I managed from that day.  I'm guessing there was cake, the girls got presents from Punta Cana and I'm sure everyone had a great time.

Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma!!!

Happy 1st Birthday TQ!

A whole year has passed and our little T is finally ONE!  This year has been totally nuts.  Three kids is crazy.  Wild and crazy. Lucky for us (okay me) I enjoy the crazy life.  The day of Tenley's birthday was also the day of Paul's work Christmas party in Cleveland.  We spent the morning/afternoon with the girls and then they got to go have a sleepover at Grandma Kathy's house!

Of course we had to let Tenley indulge in something on her actual birthday so we had some cupcakes after lunch.  Tenley loves her a good cupcake as evidenced below.

Tenley is definitely starting to hold her own with her older sisters.  Many times I find her climbing on them, yelling back and forth with them or their favorite activity as a group, causing trouble.  She's taken a couple steps here and there but for the most part she just likes to stand.  It's not just any regular standing though people, she likes to add some squats in there as well.  Once she feels loose she adds in lifting some toys.  That is, unless there is music on because if that happens she wants to bust a move.  I've actually seen her Jersey turnpike. No lie.

Happy Birthday Tenley Quinn! Mommy, Daddy, Morgan and Rylee love you bunches!

State Wrestling: 2012 Edition

Every year my family and many others descend on Columbus for the annual State Wrestling Tournament.  I know most of you are thinking right now that we are indeed crazy for taking three small children to a three day event like this. Normally I would say you were right but they were the most well behaved children I'd ever seen that weekend.  I couldn't even believe they were mine! This year we were missing the Richmond family but we managed without them.

This rules. Thumbs up Mom and Dad!

People ask me why she won't come out of her shell and I just don't know what to tell them.. ;)

We're doing this again people?

Check it out RG2 in the left hand corner of the big screen.  We tried to call him forever to get him to turn around and wave but he wouldn't pick up. Post hot dog #2 perhaps?*

Saturday: Everyone sporting some Buckeye Love!

..and then there were nine...

The lovebirds, refusing to admit either of them are wrong.

No visit is complete without visiting Brutus.  Morgan visited him about 8 times that weekend.

Someone enjoyed her first Buckeye experience.

Waiting for "the show" (as she called it) to begin

*So my dad gets a media pass every year to take pictures. They also have a media room where they serve food.  The following conversation happened in the car on the way back to the hotel.

RG2: I had a hot dog in the media room, got halfway through and went back to have another.
(lots of conversation in between)
K: Wait, you got halfway through your hotdog and it was so good you went back for another before you finished?
RG2: No, I meant halfway through the wrestling session.

You tell me what you would think after he said the first sentence?

12/24/11: Christmas Eve

Usually we spend Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family but it tends to be a late night and with 3 kids it just didn't seem like a great idea. We hadn't planned on doing anything but my parents called and offered a steak dinner at their house so we decided to go. Before we went Elf Ruby brought the girls their Christmas pajamas.

Corey and Ashley also joined us at my parents.  I know there needs to be an explanation for a few of the pictures above. A) My brother coming down the hall.  Every Christmas once everyone was finally up, my mother would make all 3 of us go back to the end of the hall like we were coming out for the first time so she could catch it on video. It's become sort of a running joke now and we make everyone do it.  My brother got his desk that evening but not before going to the end of the hall.  B) Troll Jesus.  Yes, my mother has no idea what happened to the original Jesus but she replaced him with Troll Jesus.  Does that break a commandment or something?  Also? I think a camel and a few Wise Men took a toilet dive thanks to Mackenzie.

After my parents we headed home to set up for Santa. The girls wrote notes (or dictated to me what to write) and set out cookies and milk. After checking to see where Santa was on Google Maps they went straight to sleep and "Santa" got busy! Merry Christmas Eve!
