FAN-tastic 4 miler

The boys headed to PIB for the weekend for Greg's Bachelor party. I didn't have any plans except hanging out with the kiddos but one of my friends posted on FB about the FAN-tastic 4 miler in CLE.  I looked it up online and realized if there was any race I was ever going to run it would be this one!  This race started out right by the Jake and took you down towards Browns stadium where you got to RUN ON THE FIELD! After that you ran back up towards E. 9th and head in the garage of the Q.  From there you go through some storage areas and then YOU RUN ON THE COURT!  After that you loop around a corner and RUN STRAIGHT ONTO THE WARNING TRACK OF THE JAKE!  Does this sound like a dream come true or what?  Ok maybe not to all of you but it was to me!

It was on Sunday morning and the boys wouldn't be back yet so I had to figure out A) who would watch the kids and B) who would run with me since Paul was OOT.  Lucky for me, my sister's arm was pretty easy to twist and she said she would run with me if I could find a babysitter.  Also lucky for us my brother's girlfriend Ashley said she would stay overnight and watch the girls when they got up.  So we all had a giant sleepover and Kelly and I headed to CLE in the morning.

The race itself was awesome.  My time wasn't the best since Kelly wasn't exactly quite ready to run a 4 mile race since I kind of sprung it on her last minute.  Plus I really wanted to take in and get some pictures of each sporting arena so I definitely walked a but during some of those parts. 

The cool thing was they had all the mascots and hot dogs and everything there.  Kelly and I made the rounds and managed to get pictures with a representative from each team. 

While the organization of the event could have been a little better, I'll cut them some slack since it was the first time they ever had this race.  Hopefully we'll get to run again next year!
