2012 London Olympics

I am a self admitted lover and obsessor of the Olympics.  The last Olympics were during the summer that Morgan was born.  I can distinctly remember the Opening Ceremonies because Morgan was six weeks old and that was the first time she slept 12 hours straight. It was 08.08.08.  I vowed to have all my children during Olympic summers.  It was so nice that summer to be getting sleep AND getting to watch all the Olympic coverage.

Things worked out a little different and I did NOT have this summer off but that does not mean that we did not enjoy the London Olympics to to MAX.  Paul and I are both into it big time but it was nice that Morgan and Rylee were able to get into it this year too.  Another bonus to the 2012 Olympics was that the Opening Ceremonies were on my birthday! How awesome is that?  Probably not for anyone else but my Olympics and Birthday-obsessed self.

I made the girls go all out for our viewing party that evening and even got them the cutest outfits.

We spend the next two weeks staying up late watching track, volleyball, swimming, diving, wrestling, gymnastics, etc.  Morgan and Rylee's favorite event by far was the gymnastics.  Morgan knew them all by name and asked me every day if we could watch it and when did gymnastics start for her again?  I've heard about Gabby for the last 6 weeks and begged Morgan to take her leotard off for just 5 seconds.  It was so neat to watch them get so excited and jump around practicing their moves.

We were super sad to watch them go and now we count down until 2016 in Rio!!!
