12/8/11: Happy Birthday Tenley Quinn!

We are officially a family of five as of 10:56 pm this evening.  Tenley Quinn was 9lbs 0.7oz and 20.5in, following the same trend as her sisters before her.  I will say that this was my easiest, relatively pain free delivery of all three.  We made the decision for induction earlier in the week since I was already progressing and this was my 3rd baby.  We headed to the hospital at 9am to start. Things didn't really get going until about 10-10:30 though.  We started the IV and since I was GBS positive we needed to get two bags of antibiotics in me before we cranked up the pitocin and broke my water. According the monitor I was having contractions pretty much all morning, although I couldn't feel them. Paul on the other hand was being babied by his favorite nurse. As you see in the last post he hurt his ankle yesterday.  The nurse so graciously offered him my breakfast that she had put in for me, but since I couldn't eat why let it go to waste?  She brought him some ice, a recliner, and some warm blankets.  He was living the life in there.  My dad even brought him a late lunch.

Things were moving pretty slowly as far as progression but we knew it would pick up a bit after my water was broken.  Even though I wasn't in much pain the doctor offered me the epidural before she broke my water and I gladly took it!  With Rylee I didn't get it until like 10 minutes before I had her and lets just say I didnt want to do that again!  She came in and broke my water around 7:30 pm.  After that things picked up a bit and we entertained ourselves by watching the Browns/Steelers. At this point I'm pretty sure my mom (and dad) were annoyed because they thought I would have had this baby much earlier in the day..haha.

A little after 10:30 I knew it was time to push so we gave it a few goes before the nurse told me to stop and ran and got the doctor. They came in and got set up and a few pushes (I think 3ish) she was out and in my arms! A little bit after the girls and my family came in to meet her before going home to get some shut eye. Major thanks to my parents for taking the girls for a couple days and to Ashley and Corey for taking care of the dogs!

We are absolutely in love with our newest little girl.  Paul can't wait until they are all teenagers!  Thanks everyone for the well wishes, phone calls, FB messages, and texts. She is by far our favorite gift this holiday season!
